Sleepin' In On A Monday

Sweetthing and Miss Sassie Lassie let me sleep in this morning which is a bit unusual. Sweetthing said that I looked like I was enjoying myself so she left me alone. Miss Sassie just curled up beside me and didn't make a sound. Damn, I am worried about her because that IS unusual. But a few minutes ago I crawled out and hit the shower and managed to wake up. It is damn seldom that I sleep later than six AM and most of the time I am up before that-not by choice but because Miss Sassie generally figures that if she is up the whole gotdam world is supposed to be up-especially me.

I am just now on my second cup of caffeine and hope it gives me a jump start-I need one this morning. I have a case of the "blahs" and there ain't no real reason for it. Hell, I don't have to go to work and put up with the Monday morning at work hassle nor do I have to do a damn thing I don't want to do. I suspect I just need to start drinkin some stronger coffee. But sweetthing says anything stronger she will have to find a stainless steel cup to hold it in. Go figure.

The weather quack says it is gonna be plumb hot here today-88F and very little breeze. Usually when it gets like that this time of year it means that there is some rain on the way. We can use some rain. It has been the feast or famine syndrome here this year. It has either been raining like a cow pissin' on a flat rock or drier than a Baptist church on Sunday mornin'. This Florida sand needs water on it at least once a week to keep everything growing and I sure hate to run the sprinkling system. I am on a private well and the electricity to run the pump is kinda expensive.

I had an e mail this morning I am gonna write about once I figure just what I want to say. It was interesting but I am not sure how to take it. So, I'll be posting in a bit, you all come back, heah?
