Ice Age, anyone?

Just a little hyperbole. It is now near mid-June, and breakfast on the back patio this morning required long pants. 65 F at 9am in Central Arizona on June 13th. Incroyable! No doubt next week we'll get the full court press heat hammer, but so far it's been a lovely gift. A little more sun (and a lot more rain) would be nice for the garden's sake.

Dad moves into his new and smaller apartment by the end of August, so this weekend will be the first of several down in Scottsdale to help clear out what he won't need or have room for. Mainly kitchen stuff and books. The kitchen stuff is easy to get rid of, the books will require more thought. He has nearly as many as we do.

I am back to a relatively normal work schedule--only one book due at a time. I'm liking my new oil paints mightily, and am trying to get into the habit of finishing off the evening with artwork. Not last night though. This last week was proof corrections out the wazoo, plus getting Switch 12 done. By last night I couldn't even type my own name. But then, I never could. If my given name was Ssuan I'd save a lot of time in spell check.
